Core Web Vitals · AuditJet Glossary
Lab Data
Core Web Vitals measurements collected in a controlled environment using specified device and network conditions — as opposed to field data from real users.
Lab data is produced by tools like Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and AuditJet's synthetic monitoring. It uses fixed device emulation (mid-range Android) and network throttling (4G) to simulate a reproducible test environment. Lab data is ideal for regression detection because conditions are controlled — but it doesn't capture the full distribution of real user experiences.
