Bounce Rate
The percentage of visitors who navigate away from a website after viewing only one page.
Page speed is strongly correlated with bounce rate. Google's research shows that pages taking 1–3 seconds to load have a 32% higher bounce rate than pages loading in under 1 second. For LCP specifically, pages with poor LCP (>4s) have significantly higher bounce rates. Monitoring LCP continuously protects both search rankings and the bounce rate that affects conversion.
